One year ago, to the date, I went on my first date with Josh. We’ve been together ever since and it’s been the happiest year of my life!! Josh, I love you!
I should start blogging again!
Great news, no cancer (or infections or anything else). Was still scary though, as you can tell from the picture.
Doc appointment tomorrow. Pray for me!
So after about a month of waiting to get an appointment and for health insurance, I finally was able to see the doctor. Many of you know that they found a lump in my breast and there was a slight concern that it could have been breast cancer, considering my medical history. But today there was some good news, whatever they found is completely normal. I just need to go in for a ultrasound to make sure that everything is okay. The doctor said that she didn’t feel anything that was remotely close to being cancer. Thanks Planned Parenthood for that scare! What a relief and thank you to everyone who have been praying for me.
Since we are on the subject, why do doctors offices feel the need to scare you into thinking you have the worst case scenario? Honestly, as I was walking into the office, which was a nice shade of puke after eating too much cotton candy ‘pink’, I saw about 18 posters lettingĀ me know that you might have breast cancer or are at least at some kind of risk for it. That was just in the lobby. As I waited in the little examination room, I could have had a panic attack. I do think that it is important to check yourself out; the sooner the better. But, por favor, just use one poster. I don’t need the American Cancer Association, and the District of Columbia, and The National Institute of Health to give me early detection tips in different wording.
What a day, but thank God I am okay. Till the next appointment.
